The Luna Classic blockchain is a testament to the resilience and determination of its community, particularly in the face of adversity following the May 2022 crash. During what is now called LUNAs “death spiral”, over 7 trillion tokens were minted in the span of 3 days. Everyone's holdings were effectively reduced to 0, a lot of people lost everything. The crash served as a challenging moment for Luna Classic, but the community rallied together, demonstrating their unwavering support and dedication to the project.

The community's response was marked by a collective effort to rebuild and improve the blockchain, exemplifying their commitment to the long-term success of Luna Classic. A lot of the current strategies to revitalize the chain revolve around reducing the supply of its hyperinflated token, through burning.
